Finally, Jacksonville, Florida

29 January 2014, Wednesday
Our trip today, to the Ortega Landing Marina, in downtown Jacksonsville, would be 68 miles.  No shallow water today.  Just cold, rain and wind.  The last 18 miles of the journey was up the St. Johns River, into the 2-3 mph current.  Slow going.  We arrived around 5:30 and our friend Aletha was at the dock to welcome us.  There are photos, I just cannot find them.  Dinner followed supervised by Aletha's husband Rich.

30 January 2014, Thursday
This day, we prepared to depart for Kansas for 4 weeks.  Aletha came and carted us around in her car, running various errands.  We also assigned her the task of sewing machine disposal, as we had completed all on board sewing activities.  We had dinner that night with John and Sam Moors, Mom and Pop, and Aletha and Rich. Cold and rainy.  We depart on Friday for Kansas, talk again soon.
